Ice House – Black Ice
The Ice House is an early 18th Century icehouse at Wentworth Woodhouse. The Black Ice installation creates a magical light inside the space, telling the story of its creation, and other changes to the estate, by the Earl Fitzwilliam in the 1730s, in the Earl’s own handwriting.

Using plastic film and glow-in-the-dark (green / blue) and highly reflective (pink) pigments from CultureHustle, visitors use blacklight torches to view the work and explore the space.
